Spring Break Is Over!

Back to School… and Only One Month Until Summer Break 😵‍💫☀️

Well, bless it!

It was tough waking up to an annoying 6am alarm and struggling to get everyone out the door on time - only to realize there is about one month left until Summer Break.

ONE. MONTH.

Who designed this calendar? I’d just like to talk.

Its 9am and I am standing in my kitchen with lukewarm coffee wondering:

Do I deep clean the house?

Do I catch up on life?

Or do I just sit here and stare into the pantry like it holds answers?

Meanwhile, Nugget has adjusted beautifully to everyone being gone again. He is currently spread across the couch like he pays the mortgage.

Spring Break Recap:

  • Spent too much money on snacks nobody ate

  • Heard “I’m bored” in three different locations

  • Lost at least one water bottle

  • Was touched 97% of the day

  • Made memories… and laundry

Now We Enter The Final Stretch:

  • Field days

  • Teacher appreciation days

  • Class parties

  • Spirit days requiring items no normal family owns

  • End of year teacher gifts

  • Awards ceremonies

It’s like the educational Hunger Games.

So How Are Y’all Holding Up, Mamas?

Are you thriving?

Surviving?

Eating shredded cheese over the sink in silence?

Because same.

If nobody has told you lately—you’re doing a good job. Whether you’re packing lunches, forgetting lunches, signing forms in the carpool line, or pretending not to see the school email until tomorrow… you are not alone.

We are all just trying to make it through May with our sanity, a matching pair of flip flops, and enough sunscreen to survive.

My Personal Summer Prep Plan:

  1. Lower expectations

  2. Buy popsicles

  3. Hide snacks for myself

  4. Pretend screen time is educational

  5. Keep saying “make memories” through clenched teeth

We’ve got this, sugar. And if not, we’ve got coffee.

How are y’all doing now that Spring Break is over? Tell me your current survival level from “Doing Great” to “Don’t ask me again.”
