Nugget’s Vacation Report – Cancun, Mexico

Hi, Passport Pals!

Guess what?

I went on my very first big vacation! I was SO excited… and a little bit nervous, too!

We had to wake up at 4:00 in the morning! That’s before the sun wakes up! It was so dark when we drove to the airport.

While we waited for our airplane, we watched the sun come up through the airport windows. Then we watched the workers put all the suitcases on the plane. We even found Mom’s bright pink suitcase!

It was my first time on an airplane!

I got a window seat, buckled my seatbelt, and held on tight.

Then…

WHOOSH!

The airplane went super fast down the runway! Then I looked out my window and…

WOW!!

☁️ We were higher than the clouds! ☁️

I didn’t even know you could fly above the clouds!

When we got to Cancun, Mexico, it was warm, sunny, and HOT! Good thing there were lots of places to splash.

Not one pool…

Not two pools…

THREE pools!

🏖️ One giant saltwater pool had a fun obstacle course and paddle boards.

💦 One pool had a water park with slides for kids and grown-ups.

🍹 And one pool had something I’d never seen before…

A swim-up bar!

Can you believe people could swim over and get a cold drink without getting out of the pool? I thought that was pretty silly!

We splashed and swam every single day.

There were so many yummy places to eat that we hardly ate at the same restaurant twice! I tried tacos for the very first time, and we even had room service delivered to our room. I thought that felt extra fancy!

Jessica and Jenna had so much fun at the Ava Kids Club. They built a solar-powered car, did science experiments, made slime, decorated cookies, had dance parties, and got their faces painted.

They even told me something surprising…

They liked the Ava Kids Club even more than the Oceaneer Club on the Disney Wish!

That must mean it was REALLY fun!

We just got home yesterday, and we’re all still a little sleepy from our big adventure.

I didn’t come home empty-pawed!
